Surviving the first four waves was nearly impossible. Now Cassie Sullivan finds herself in a new world, a world in which the fundamental trust that binds us together is gone. As the 5th Wave rolls across the landscape, Cassie, Ben, and Ringer are forced to confront the Others’ ultimate goal: the extermination of the human race.
Cassie and her friends haven’t seen the depths to which the Others will sink, nor have the Others seen the heights to which humanity will rise, in the ultimate battle between life and death, hope and despair, love and hate.
I eagerly ordered the second book in the 5th wave series as soon as I finished the first book because I loved it so much and much to my excitement the infinite sea did not disappoint.
The first book was full of suspense and mystery and this book didn't have that but what it did have was more. There was much more insight into different characters, more aliens, more locations and more perspectives.
The gang have found it difficult to know who they an and cannot trust and this continues into the infinite sea. In the first book we read from mostly Cassie's and Evans POV but in the second book we get lots f different points of view including a little bit from poundcake which was amazing. I was interested in the Cassie and Evan romance going into this book and coming out of it I am interested in all of the different characters that Yancey has made me feel for. I hated Ringer in the first book but she really came into her own in this instalment. I loved that there wasn't one main character but there were several main characters because it is important to the story and helps with the connection.
I can't wait for the next part of the book to come out. I also need to see the movie but books to movies kind of scare me in case I hate it.
I don't want to say too much in case i accidentally spoil anything for anyone but read it!!!!
Thanks For Reading
